SUPPLIES:
SURFACE: I purchased a set of 12 wooden heart ornaments in the Valentine section of
Hobby Lobby that are 4 ½” x 4 1/8”. These are seasonal but many other companies sell
heart surfaces such as www.cdwood.com, www.vikingwoodcrafts.com, etc. You could also
paint this on a 5” square surface by tracing the heart onto the surface. Enlarge or reduce as
desired.
PAINT: DecoArt Americana Acrylic (Feel free to substitute other colors)
Baby Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Canyon Orange, Cranberry Wine, Grey Sky, Lamp Black,
Razzle Berry, Snow White, Tomato Red, Whispering Turquoise, Zinc
BRUSHES: Use good quality brushes
¾” wash brush for base coating surface
Assorted flats sizes 2-8
½” angle brush or what you float with
18/0 script liner or another fine liner
Small size 1 or two round for features
Small stencil brush
OTHER SUPPLIES:
220 sand paper if needed
3M P320 flexible sandpaper, 600 wet/dry sandpaper, or piece of brown paper sack.
Small ball stylus
Stencil with small hearts or you can trace from the pattern. The one used is very old and
no longer available.

DuraClear Multi-Purpose Sealer
Palette knife
