SUPPLIES:
SURFACE: Small lap desk, 11” x 2 ¼” x 9 9/16”, purchased from Artist Club, www.artistclub.com
No. 62162. You could also use any 8” x 10” surface or enlarge to fit other sizes.
The lap desk comes with gold hinges, but I purchased nickel colored hinges so that they would look better with the cool colors.
PAINT: DecoArt Americana Acrylic: Prussian Blue, Deep Midnight Blue, Light Buttermilk, Titanium White, Light Avocado, Avocado, Plantation Pine, Hauser Light Green, Olive, Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Umber, Cranberry Wine, Grey Sky
BRUSHES:
1” wash brush, #1, #8, #12 or # 14 flat, ½” angle, 10/0 detail liner and/or 10/0 script liner (Use any brand you choose but use good quality brushes)
OTHER:
JoSonja’s All Purpose Water Based Sealer (or another water based sealer),
Gleams Silver Metallic paint by Delta (or another silver paint)
White and old grey graphite
Tracing paper
C-thru ruler (to aid in making an accurate tracing)
600 wet/dry sandpaper (black), can be found at automotive supply stores. I cut the sheet into smaller squares for easier use.
Nickel hinges, can be found at Walmart or Loews.
