Tools I Love, continued...

[caption id="attachment_452" align="alignright" width="225"]Precision File Set Precision File Set[/caption] As Christmas quickly approaches, another great stocking stuffer is the Precision File Set.  I accidentally stumbled upon the file set and reluctantly gave it a try.  OH, OH, is awesome!!!  All the prep involved in getting a surface ready to paint is time consuming and boring.  This doesn't mean it can be skipped, however certain tools make prep work a snap and this certainly fits the bill. This complete file set comes conveniently stored in a compact cylindrical container which makes it easy to toss into any brush bin, supply drawer or travel tote.  The file set is perfect to remove burrs, ragged edges and easily smooth out rough spots even in the little hard to reach places.  The handles on each file are rubber coated for comfort and grip and are pink, which doesn't mean anything except they are pretty! The kit contains two flat (about an inch wide) files which are great for bigger spaces, and four rat-tail files for small places.  What I love is the fact that each rat-tail file has a particular shape.  One is an oval, one is a square, one is round and one is flat on one side and domed on the other.  They are wonderful on wood and can also be used to distress chipboard, plastic, paper and metal with fun and unique effects. There is absolutely no spot that can not be reached and filed.  How sweet is that?!   They seem to be very durable as I have had mine and used them heavily for almost a year.  The clear container makes storage convenient and handy.  This little set certainly deserves a two thumbs up rating.  I have become very attached and dependent on this handy set and always keep it within reach. So you can see how handy they can become.  Pick up a set for you or your painting buddy (or both) at   [caption id="attachment_452" align="alignright" width="225"]Precision File Set Precision File Set[/caption]

Hey Matthijs,Thanks for the input, let us know what you think after using the tool a bit, feedback is aawlys helpful. You note some good points here. I think what we are going to do down the road is write a more real world example than the simple one we already posted (which was just meant as a very basic introduction) and that example would include some code similar to what you have above.Gabe
